I have experienced three brake failures within the last year.
The brake pedal went clearto the floor on each occasion.
dealer cannot find anything wrong with the brakes.Current mileage is 8000.
Has anyone else had a similar proble?

Yes, I had the same reaction as Pascal. 2004 XJS? I don't think so.
That said, whether its an XJS or a 2004 XJ8 or XJR, the circumstances under which you lost the brakes is an important factor. The brake pedal going to the floor like that is usually the result of air in the brake lines, or boiling fluid. Had you been doing a lot of hard braking when it happened? Brake fluid, even on new cars, will absorb moisture. You should probably ask the dealer to bleed the brake system thoroughly and put in fresh fluid. I'm not familiar with the modern ABS systems with all the computer stuff added on these new cars, but usually, if there was a system failure, it should show up as a fault code on the car's computer. I assume the dealer checked that and nothing showed up.
Losing the brake pedal can be very scary. Hopefully, you can source the problem. If it happens again and the dealer can't solve it, I'd contact Jaguar directly and alert them to the problem (assuming it's a 2004 car). You might even want to do that now. They may be able to have a Regional service tech look at it and figure out what the problem is.
Hope that helps,
