I need to change my 1995 4 liter throttle position sensor. My sensor has a Ford logo and number 70418A stamped on it. The Ford dealership does not recognize this number. Does anybody know which Ford model(s) this unit was fitted to?

Throttle position potentiometer
I couldn't find anything at all on that number ...other than usage on Jaguars. There's always a possibly that it was never actually used on a Ford product despite the Ford logo.
You might wanna take it to a Ford dealer or good parts store and see if they recognize it. Some of those TPSs are fairly common. If you find a decent match make sure the replacement has the same amount of available rotation. Then there's the question of resistance but I think most older ones are about the same
Years ago I used a Mustang TPS on my V12 XJS with just minor modifications. Worked great...$23 vs. $250 !
