Well, Mellow Yellow is making its recovery after the unfortunate deer encounter several months ago. Since the old bonnet was destroyed, a used bonnet was obtained and fitted to the car. The new bonnet as well as the rest of the car was stripped to bare metal. The work is being performed by Terry Lippincott and his crew at Lippincott's Garage in Sinking Spring, PA.
After stripping and priming, Terry hand blocked and prepped the car for painting. The car was then sent out to a local painter who spayed the car with Glasurit in the original Pale Primrose. The car was then returned to Lippincott's for final blocking and finish work. The pictures here were taken at Terry's workshop on January 25, 2003 by Ray Sharp with his digital camera, so the color may not be 100% accurate on the computer. Bumpers still need to be rechromed, various trim items need to be reinstalled, some related interior work needs doing. Anticipated completion is late winter or early spring.
