Greetings, I am looking at this car, which has 66k on it. It seems very clean etc. But I confess I know nothing about this type of engine. My question is....should I stay away from it. Or take the plunge. I used to have an XJS V-12, and loved it. So, would I like this or should I go the slower route? All help is appreciated. Michael.

I just bought a 1995 XJR with 73K miles on it.
I was planning a road trip so I replaced the P-Zero Asymetricos with some all seasons (didn't feel like careening off an icy mountain), gave it an oil change with Mobil1 and had the dealer give it a fuel system cleansing and an alignment. The car ran flawlessly - what an enjoyable 5000 mile trip!
I was a little apprehensive about taking an unknown vehicle on a trip of that magnitude, but the engine proved to be extremely strong.
Go for the XJR - you won't regret it.
I am curious as to the asking price. I paid $10,900 and my vehicle is incredibly clean although the dealer said that was closer to wholesale rather than retail price.
