When I first found my car, the tank had old gas and lots of tar in the tank and pickup. I cleaned and flushed the tank out by running about 5-10 gallons gas through the line with the carbs unhooked until it ran clean. I have been running a Series 2 paper filter in the fuel bowl as well as the gauze. The carb screens are clean. A few days ago, the car gradually quit running. When I removed the paper filter it was clogged and car started up to get back to my shop. I had filled it with some clean 93 non ethanol and seafoam . Now when I open the fuel bowl & turn on the fuel pump it fills with dark particles from the tank. Does anyone have any experience on in-car tank cleaning with evaporust? I was thinking about putting 3-5 gallons in since most of the trash is on the bottom and then flushing with gas.
