My wife and I are 'discussing' what color to paint our '67 OTS. There was a magnificent maroon with tan hood one at the Richmond show. We would like to know the 'official' color and see additional pictures if available. The car had a Virginia historic 1968 tag #CO NV 18-084. Can anyone provide guidance?

The web site, xkedata.com, will show dozens of photos of every color that ever came on a XKE. This site also will give far more information than you could want or need on about 15000 E-types around the world. Great color resolution and good discriptions of all cars.

See below for a link to the 67/68 Etype brochure. It lists an option for "Opalescent Light Maroon"
I don't know if they changed colors alot year to year but I have a 1970 OTS that is factory color Regency Red. It is about as Maroon as you can get!
