Went to start the car after it sitting for one month. Everything was fine til today. Choke lever will only pull out 1/2 inch then I hear a click. Tried to manually move the choke linkage under the carbs. It barely moves. Possible problem(s)?

Edward do you have a workshop manual? You need one. By removing the dash pots you might see the issue but further than that you need the step by step in the manual. As far as how do they stick--bind might be a better word--the jet could be binding on a jet needle or binding in the carb housing itself.

Can you outline the steps? Remove dash pots first?

Do not know--see if you can free the choke jets.

Choke linkage is sticking or a jet has stuck in one or more carbs. Do you have a 4.2 tripple set up or a 3.8 set up?
