There is a 1973 XKE OTS V-8 lump available and owner needs some idea
what the car is worth. It is Regency red (new paint) with tan leather
interior, also supposedly new. Car has a hard top and the original
V-12 and transmission are available. It also has a CD player which
tells me the radio is also not original. Body and interior are in
good shape, the car came from California. Any idea what the market is
for a car like this?

'73 XKE ots - lump
60 MkIX
72 XKE V12 2+2
78 Series2 XJ12L
Where is it?
What does the 12 w/trans look like?
Available separately?
What is the lump motor?
What's the new trans?
Questions, questions, questions
Good brakes, suspension/alignment, (updated) A/C
"reasonable" drivers well carpet?
"reasonable" oil retention?
Any bondo?
Absolutely blind guess?
Rarely have I seen cash discussed on the board.
Might I have seen this car sort of "off to the side" at a past Concourse?
I'm in "The Book"
lumps are almost always worth much less than the "real" thing obviously... the biggest issue is how much "damage" was done in the conversion process especially to the rail frames... they often have to be cut and welded which affects the structural integrity... the frames can't be welded, they need to be brazed.. and even then. on the E, they carry not jsut the engine but the front suspensions as well.
why would anyone step down from a V12 to a V8... (sight)
