I am looking at purchasing a 94 XJ6. I do not think nit has a leaper on the hood. Did they come standard? If not, will drilling be required, or is there another "badge" that can be removed and replaced with the leaper? Thanks.

I do not believe that the XJ40s ('88 - '94 XJ6s) came standard with a leaper on the hood (though almost all seem to have had it added including my '94). The hood will have to be drilled. The portion of the hood where the leaper would logically go is double-skinned. A two-inch diameter hole was cut in the inner skin of my hood to access the retaining nuts. I don't know if the leaper from a newer model (XJ8, S-Type, X-Type) might be held on using just adhesive or a bracket that attaches from the outside of the hood. Jeff
