I am in the process of restoring a 1956 xk 140 ots. I am having trouble finding information on the finish details. For example. What is painted body color?, what is painted black? gloss? flat? What fasteners are painted? cad plated? etc. etc. Is there a definitive authenticity manual available? Does anyone have an extensive photo documentation of a 100 pt judged 140 ots? I have Philip Porter's book but it lacks fine details.
Thanks, Ron

Ron Jack Stamp wrote the technical seminar that is available here in the Shoppe. You can order JS140 and you will find it is full of detail such as proper finish--By the way Jack was the National champion many times with his 140--so much in fact it was retired for the good of all. You should also look at the JCNA judging standards in the concours section.
