Good day all,
For the 4.2 engine, I am replacing the rear crank seal, The engine is currently hanging from the engine lift with the sump off. The clutch plate and ring gear have been removed. As you all probably know
this rope seal comes in two pieces. I would prefer not to remove the crankshaft. Are there tips and tricks to inserting/rotating the new upper seal around the crank?
The bottom half is simple as it fits into the lower seal housing which then just mounts up.
