We just completed a complete restoration on a '66 E-type roadster. Running great so far, but we have one annoying glitch. We can't seem to get the boot to stay latched. It likes to pop open at completely random times. Is there a secret to getting the latch adjusted so that the boot stays down?

Thanks John. Was the latch hook getting hung up on something? Was that the reason for needing the grinding?
