Happy New Year everyone
So begins a new year and the beginning of the reassembly of a 65 FHC.
Body and frame have been painted and the frame is to be assembled next week.
I can not seem to get a straight answer from books or people I've spoken with about suitable, period-correct bolts. I've searched these archives to spare everyone a redundant question but with no results.
Short of finding the original bolts (Bees, GKN) what is the opinion about period-correct bolts and the finishes (black oxide, zinc plated, body color painted)? I would like to use a nice quality bolt with properly sized bolt head and not some of these poorly formed bolts available in mass quantity.
Again, excuse me if these has been discussed before.
