Would someone kindly check and advise the correct order of positioning of the three wires to the fuel sender on the back of the fuel tank. The wires are Green, Black and Red. My car is a 1989 XJS V12 convertible, non-Hess version....thanks.

Fuel sender electrical connection
Thanks Steve...great pic. Unfortunately, your sender connector configuration is quite different from mine. However, I then decided to try all the other 5 ways possible for the wires to be connected. My very first attempt was switching the Black and Red wire connection points...and voila...my fuel guage registered normally...problem solved!

Yeah, I realized last evening I had a brain freeze. That pic is from a coupe, I forgot the converts got the newer plastic sender with the terminals in a line.
