I have a 98 Van Den Plas. The fueling failure light came on. It went out for a few days then came back on. I am getting a fueling failure code 6. Does anyone know what a code 6 is or where I can find a list of the codes?

Re.: fueling failure
if you can't get a list of codes at Jag-Lovers.com, there's a site called All-Data.com that supplies Servicing information for Technicians and do-it-yourselvers for every brand of car (except BMW and Chrysler), Jaguar is included, but it's by subscription ($$). You'll need to check to see if your Model Year is included. I saw your question (or a similar question) at the Jag-Lovers Forum for the Series 3 XJ, (1979-1987 US) but I am not familiar with the 1998 and besides, it was posted in the wrong Forum, you'll need to post your question in the "Moderns" forum section. Good luck!
In 88 just about every jaguar that rolled off the assembly line set the fueling failure code. If your not having any driveability problems, the dealer fix is to cut the purple /blue wire ( you'll have to double check that color) to the information center of the instrument pac. I beleive there is something on this at the xj40 service book section of this site.
