I have a 1997 XJ6L and the gas pedal has started to grab at the initial contact and then frees up. This causes the car to jump when you accelerate since I have to press harder to get the pedal to get past the grabbing point. Any suggestions?

dirty / sticky throttle body. known issue / routine mainteance. needs to be cleaned up. a rag with carb cleaner shoudl work but be careful not to contaminate the throttle position sensor.
