Recently acquired 1971 XKE Roadster. Everything has been perfection - until today. Started car. Ignition warning light (inside speedometer, lower left), exhibits a slow blink. Prior, only lit when key turned on before starting.
Owner's manual says light stays on when engine running at speed insufficient to charge battery. No explanation given for a blink condition (about once per second).
Any ideas, anyone?

Please ignore my posting. I figured it out. The car had been sitting in garage for two weeks. When started, it was in a high charge state. The blinking ignition light (and the almost pegged voltmeter) were telling me the status, but I wasn't listening. Went for a 20 mile drive on highway. Everything is back to perfect.
I guess this is an undocumented capability (of the ignition light).
