Hi
We sell Michelin tubes. I would suggest they are the best.
There are a few things people don't know about inner tubes
All full profile tyres can fit inner tubes weather they are called tube type or tubeless. For example the original radial tyre that Jaguar fitted to the series 1 XKE was the 185VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CA 67 that Pirelli still make today, is a tubeless tire. However because it is being fitted onto a wire wheel it needs a tube , as do all other tires on a wire wheel.
When they made the series 3 XKE they added power steering so at that point they also took advantage of the new low profile tire technology and fitted ER/70VR15. The modern description of which is 205/70VR15. The best tyres , the Michelin XWX and the Pirelli Cinturato are both tubeless however you can still fit tubes which is handy for wire wheels, However unnecessary on the pressed steel wheels (or the cool wolf race alloys my auntie had).
The two points I'm hoping to make are:-
You cannot fit tubes in tyres that are lower than 70% profile eg 205/65R15 cannot fit inner tubes. XKE fitted either 640H15 Crossply, 185VR15 & 205/70VR15.
You should also fit tubes with wire wheels. I don't care if people call them tubeless wire wheels. I have come across enough failures not to trust them. All cars that fitted wire wheels did fit tubes. You can still get the right size tyres, all of which can fit tubes.
