Re.: Jag parts places.
Alec,
What year? Coupe or convertible? Especially in the used parts market, it makes a difference if you are talking about an older car or a newer one. There are several used parts dealers around who can supply good quality replacement parts for significantly less than new ones. Unless you are trying to do a 100 point concours restoration, used parts often make sense to keep the car running or looking good.
Another good source of information are the forums on Jag-lovers. (www.jag-lovers.org). There is an XJS forum there with extensive archieves. Also, as a new XJS person, you should definitely download Kirby Palms book on the XJS (referred to as "The Book") You can pick it up off of the Jag-lovers site. It is a free download over the internet. Read the sections on buying an XJS and on common problems to look for. The rest of it offers an excellent reference guide as problems develop.
Have fun.

Re.: Jag parts places.
Alec,
There are a number of suppliers that sell Jaguar parts, including interior components. We often refer to them as "the usual suspects." That includes XK's Unlimited, SNG Barratt, Welsh Enterprises and Terry's Jaguar, among others. There is one company that specializes in Jaguar interiors that I am aware of: BAS. Their web address is: www.basjaguartrim.com/main.htm There may be some others that someone else can point out. NAYYY (no affiliation, yada, yada, yada), just an experienced consumer.
Since you didn't say what model you are buying parts for, it is hard to give other alternative ideas. You can also check out Hemmings Motor News for supplier listings, or look at the ads in Jaguar Journal.
