Hi.
I've just bought an X-Type 2.0 V6 Sport in racing green and would love to put a leaping jaguar hood ornament on it (UK models do not have them due to safety laws I think). Does anyone know if it is legal to fit one yourself? From what I could see from previous posts and by searching the net, if you have a hood ornament it has to be mobile - ie not solid and fixed. Are there any ways around this problem? Has anyone ever fitted one and been pulled up for it by the cops? Could anyone in the States tell me what size or ornament (eg 5 or 7 inches)would be standard for my model?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
