Hi everybody , I had a very heavy storm hit my house 2 weeks ago.
The result was my Durango was a total write off , my F-350 , is still being fixed. My XJS was sent to a dealer in Charleston WV. They replaced the battery , but were unable to get the ABS light to go off. He said the car was too old for the new computers they use. My question is , is it possible for that light to have been affected by the lightning strike. I know nobody to ask no the dealer cannot help.
I did find a local guy who works on "foreign cars" should I let him look at it. Very bewildered at this stage...............
Living out here in the sticks does not help.

Lightning strike
Did you read the codes? ABS light should set a code. That might help figure out what's wrong. First guess would be a wheel speed sensor. Drive it 'round a bit, get it up to high speed and see if that helps.
disconnect battery for 30 minutes make sure you have the radio code first. reconnect and drive vehicle ABS light should extinguish.
