Once again, the Empire Division has held another outstanding event at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut this past Friday and Saturday, June 3 & 4. The two-day event run in conjunction with the VSCCA is one of the best run track events of the season and brings out participants from all over the Northeast. Not limited to Jaguars, this year saw a wide variety of cars from Jags to Ferraris to Audis to Corvettes to you name it. The vintage cars run by VSCCA members included some outstanding cars including old Bugattis and Mazaratis, to MG's, Lotus and C-type, D-type and XK120's and 140's.
One of the highlights of the weekend, as always, was the banquet on Friday evening. Music, good food, great people and a beautiful setting all contributed to a wonderful time being had by all. And this year, for the first time in many years, the weather fully cooperated with two absolutely perfect days for running on the track.
All in all, this was an outstanding event. Charles Bordin and the Empire Division are to be congratulated on another excellent job running this great event. It was my honor and privilege to present Charles with a Certificate of Appreciation at the dinner as a small token to show how much all of JCNA appreciates what he and the Empire Division have done for our members. Hopefully, this is one program that will continue for many, many years to come. I, for one, intend to keep participating for as long as my legs allow.
