I lost all my keys for my '53 XK120 FHC (door, gas, and skirts).
Does anyone know if there is a "key registry" or some other Jaguar resource where I can obtain duplicate keys? Or given that that is not possible, how I might otherwise go about obtaining duplicates? I scanned the archives but couldn't find anything.
Thanks,
Jim, 1953 XK120, 2002 XK8

Jim if you go to the library section and look at the heritage certificates you will be on track! The archives at Mahwah are very ready to put you with Pete. As far as your skirts they have been modified unless the build sheet says they were ordeed that way~~good luck

George, thanks. That's the contact i was looking for. I'll run that down. "Skirts" I mean the rear wheel well/fender skirts. They have a keyed lock on them. As best we can tell, everything is original on this car, including 44K actual miles. and those pesky 6 volt batteries ( which don't have much of a life anyway). What certificate do you refer to ? And where do I find Pete Groh? Mail me off list is OK. jbansley @sbcglobal.net

Jim if your car has its original locks you can contact the archives in Mahwah NJ and they can provide the key codes (if recorded on the build sheets and most were) if you Have a certificate you know the drill. After that the British Key Gut (Pete Groh) can provide you the correct keys. Good luck !!!!!!!
Good info, guys. I have enough to get started. Greatly appreciated.
Happy trails...
