Your on the right page, zero pressure for only a minute would blow up the engine.
Changing the oil will take a lot of guess work out. You will gain 10 lbs at first, indicating the gage is working to a degree.
If still at zero and no gain and the oil is new and no clog.
The oil pressure sending unit is very common as well.
Again, if the motor doesn't blow after the new oil and idling for 5 minutes, it something else.
Its the gage,sending unit or check valve.
