Hi All,
Just bought my first Jag, it is a 1976 XJ6 with 56,500 miles.
Haven't seen the car yet other than pictures. The car was sold to
me buy a collector and it has Antique plates on it now. The big
selling point was the price, $3500.00 US and the fact that is it
only 15 miles away from me. I'm mainly asking here what shop manuals
I should pick up and where I might be able to find them. Generally
I like working from the genuine factory manuals. Are there any
inherent problems with this year and model that I should be aware
of? Not actually having it my driveway yet, I don't have any real
specific questions about what to fix. Yeah, the car does have a
piece of cardboard underneath it in the pictures but I can live
with a little oil dripping for now. I hope to be an active member
and contributor as I learn more about my new toy. This is car #6,
I've also got a perfect '58 Mercedes 220S sedan, an 83 MB 300D
sedan, an 83 300CD coupe, my daily driver Mazda 929 and my wife's
2001 Subaru. All I need now is a new garage :-)
