Hi, need some advice. I'm installing a retro-air kit with their supplied alternator. All their instructions seem to have the same voltage regulator instructions, this harness (new) has the 3 lug solid state regulator versus the "manual" coil variety.
My question(s) is do any of you have this setup on your E type? Do you have a schematic or written description of the circuits?
I suspect that the 3 lug can be eliminated, but I new to get the "ign" lamp to work as usual.
Advice and opinions are welcome...

To further confuse this issue, I find that the ignition light has power from the (white-switched ignition circuit fuse) as per the schematic, but the ground leg on the lamp (brown w/black tracer) terminates from the harness adjacent to the oil pressure sender. This makes no sense at all to me, when the lamp could simply be grounded on the dash panel.
Can someone advise what (purpose) this N/B wire connects to on your vehicle..

PS grounding the N/B wire does light the ignition lamp. The engine is not ready to start yet, so I must assume, at this point, that when the alternator's internal regulator senses voltage it opens the lamp circuit to extinguish the lamp??
