I posted several questions last month, and thought I'd post a progress report. First, thanks for the responses I received. Just returned from Japan, and found the new otter switch from Cool Cat waiting for me. Nice conversion. I suspect they use a VW switch. High beams work - bad connection. Horns work: I can't figure out what Jag thought would provide the ground to the turn switch stalk, but I rigged a wire from the stalk to a ground. Parking brake cable broken right at the handle. All I have to do now is get the locknut at the rear linkage loose, and I'm ready to go. But without a hoist, there sure isn't much room under there. Windscreen washer: bought an after-market pump from FLAPS and butchered the original reservoir top so the new pump fits half in the Lucas housing and half in the tank. Now all I have to do is figure out where the dead short in #8 fuse is, and I'm ready for the inspection.
