We are selling our 1994 XJS V12 convertable and have been asked if there has to be any modifications made to the car in order to sell and register it in the U.S. Does anyone know this answer?

You might look at an issue of Car & Driver (early 2006); there was an article in which the author describes the bureacratic hoops that had to be managed in order to sell a UK car in California (best of my recall).
Try a search on Car & Driver web site for the article - it was informative.
