The A/C and fans have never worked. I am in the process of trouble shooting now. I have pulled the center console, radio, faceplate, and A/C controls. I have battery supplied 12VDC to A/C relay box and have jumpered it to high speed lead leaving box and fans work. I do not have 12VDC to mode switch on ac but 35amp fuse in main fuse panel is good and 12VDC going out to appropriate places(lwipers, washers, etc). Looking for CF4 now. Once I find problem with 12VDC to AC mode switch I will then check the delayed action fuse in AC amplifer circuit. Am I on the right track or is it something simpler that I'm overlooking? I do know the 10amp compressor fuse if blowing but will look into that later.

Doug,
I'm assuming by "thermal delay switch" you mean "water thermostat" as identified in included diagram.

84 VDP - A/C not working
Presently I am not getting 12vdc to ac mode control switch directly from the 35amp fuse in main fuse panel. Once I get that fixed I will try your suggestion. Too hot in South Carolina for now but will check tomorrow am.
Thanks Doug

84 VDP - A/C not working
These systems can get a little tricky :-)
A couple quick ideas:
Remove the wires from the thermal delay switch (on the heater core pipe) and jump them together. Post back if anything changes.
Does the system work if the mode switch is in "defrost" ? Most of the automatic controls are bypassed in defrost mode.
Cheers

Al that is what he is talking about--you might also check the fuse to the control unit and relays while you are in that side panel--not the hot fuse but the ground fuse--YES it does have a fuse on the ground. Good luck.
