Edward, as Josiah suggested, I painted the trim in place. But if you feel like you have to remove it, I think you will have much better access by removing the radio console. This will allow the instrument panel to fold down to horizontal. If you decide to do this, be careful not to short 12 volts on the cigar lighter or better, disconnect the battery. Good luck.
