I have recently purchased a partially disassembled D type replica. The car has E type torsion bar front suspension and, oddly, a C type torsion bar rear suspension. It is a GRP body and a steel chassis. The chassis configuration is very much like an original. The donor car was a Mk1 and the 3.8 engine has an E type serial number. The donor car serial begins with a 63 which I understand means it was originally registered in California. I need to find out when this particular kit was completed and/or registered so that I can import it into Canada. Any notes will be greatly appreciated.
