2003 S Type center consel will not open. When the latch is pulled the consel cover will not lift but it will move forward to cover the drink holders. I don't want to force it unless it is the only way.

Donald,
With a light lift of the latch my console easily slides over the cup holders and will lift up to open. Only problem I have ever had was if too much paper was in the console preventing it from latching closed but never opening. Can't think of any reason why it shouldn't open unless there's a broken spring. It The catches are on the sides of the console, might try slipping a wire down the sides to release the catches.

Thank you I will try that. My local Jaguar Dealer informed me that there is no repair for the consel cover. I would like to open the cosel in order to limit further damage.
