I need guidance - when cold , vehicle starts Ok , but for at least 10 min , vehicle has difficulty reaching over 25 mph without at least slow acceleration or hesitation - at times when driving , vehicle stalls when idling - after warm up ( approx 10 min) drives fine and acceleration is normal - my mechanic says I need flowmeter - any suggestions ?
Appreciate response

Hi Greag,
You might get some more responses if you post this in the Technical forums, XJ Saloons instead of here in the general forum.
I think bad running after start-up and good running when warm points to a coolant temp sensor. They're about $30 and available from the dealer or one of the usual suppliers like Coventry West. Why does your mechanic think you need a new air flow meter? That's going to cost you big bucks and your car's symptoms don't seem to be pointing to that.
