Maybe someone has had this happen.
I have a 96 XJ6
The other evening after driving a couple of hours, I pulled into a friends driveway. I went in and stayed about an hour.

When I came back to the car, I placed the key in the ignition and the seat started to move. Then, everything shut down. The key wouldn't turn
and the power was completely shut down. No lights, nothing. I called AAA and when the guy came, he asked me to pop the hood. Then, he remembered
the battery was in the trunk. I popped the trunk and lifted the panel. When I lifted the panel, the lights came back on and power was restored. Everything
worked fine. I drove it a couple of days, then...

I drove for about an hour, then parked. Left the car for about a half hour and when I came back, the key wouldn't turn. This time, the radio was working
and the seat would go back and forth. The windows wouldn't work, but the interior lights would work. I checked all of the fuses. They all seemed
okay. Again, I called AAA. After about an hour, the guy arrived. What's wrong? I told him. He got in, and the seat nearly killed him as it moved
forward. He tried to turn the car on, but in order to avoid being crushed, he slipped out from behind the steering wheel. He sat back down and
turned the key. It started perfectly. I asked him what he did. Nothing, was his reply. Nothing?!

The car ran fine and I drove it home.

Is there a thing with Jaguar and these AAA guys? Kinky!

I suspect it has something to do with the security/anti theft system but, don't really know.

Anyway, if anyone has had this happen and can tell me what caused it, I would greatly appreciate the input.

Thank you,
Bob
