Jay,
I am using the E-Track system like this: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Cargo-Control/Erickson/EM58523.html
I installed MANY steel plates under the trailer floor and I used a LOT of bolts with heavy washers under the nuts. I tie down all four wheels that way. In addition, two heavy ratchet straps forming an "X" run around the half shafts in the rear and to "D" rings in the floor at the back of the trailer which are also backed by steel plates underneath.
I have trailered my car about 3000 miles this way so far and it hasn't moved 0.01", best I can tell.
