I am restoring my 72 e-type 2+2 and seem to have 2 extra parts, Window Channel Chrome, BD31446. My shop manual does not show it, it has been a long time since I disassembled, and now I just can't see a logical place to install it. XK's catalog points to an area at the rear edge of the Crash Rail, but I can't see how it fits. Help, please.

My XKs catalog shows it on the "door components" page as going on the door at the lowest horizontal part of the window opening, probably screwed on the inside of the door but outside the window. Still, its ambiguous. Sorry, my car doesnt have one. Im just as glad at $300 each. Good luck Curt 1967 E-type S1 FHC
