I have 1988 XJ6 and ordered a park/intermittent module as those features quit on my car. The question is where do I put it? My book has no reference to it's location. I looked where the wiper control box is but saw nothing resembling the small black 3 pronged item I'm trying to replace. Anyone know where I should look. Thanks

Wiper park module
Hi Andrew,
great thanks for these pointers, I shall try these tests and let you know, I am however currently working at home on a 76 V12 Coupe that has had the coolant go low somehow and overheated. I ended up with the car after this happened and I am just about finished rebuilding the 1st head..............
Sincere thanks, Art.......

Wiper park module
Hi Andrew,
I have a Nov. 1988 production date S Convertible. The car had an engine fire..........I replaced the brake pedal aasy with a good used one and all wiring that had been burnt...I spliced all the harness's together where no connectors were available to be unplugged. The car now runs , however when the ign key is turned to position 1 the brake boos pump comes on, when the key is turned to position 2 and start the pump turns off and no power assist is available when the engine is running....any ideas. You can reply if you wish to my e mail, silver007shaw.ca...............Thanks , Art

Wiper park module
On the early XJ40's which is what you have, it was common for the fuse to blow causing the intermittent and single wipe to stop working. It is not in the fuse panel but rather a inline fuse located under the glove box on the right side of the car. You have to take the metal shield panel down to access it. It is right out in the open at that point.

Wiper park module
I believe it will be under the instrument panel ( dashboard ) on the pass. side, not sure totally, Art
Thanks for your reply. I replaced the micro switch at the wiper motor housing with no success, the wipers still will not park nor operate intermittent. I found only one fuse under the the glove box. This was a 10amp coming from the speed control module.
The wipers operate normally at high and low speed so I'm stumped. The wiper control module makes a clicking sound each time the wipers move the quarter sweep but does nothing when I move the control arm to stop operation. Can this fuse be in another location? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
