US 1994 model year XJ12s have a lot of variation between early and late models with regards to interior appointments. This comes as a result of an unusually long model year, XJ12s in the UK actually have a 1993 and 1994 model year split.
For example, the center console cover on the an earlier 1994 model has no cupholder, later 1994 models have a cupholder. If an earlier model was to be upgraded with the cupholder, is this a mandatory non authenticity deduction, if this option was avaliable on 1994 model year cars. I am getting somewhat tired of balancing a coke in one hand on my way home from the drive thru, but I dont want to risk a deduction.
The question really, is, is any option that was avaliable for 1994 model year considered original for the entire spread of 1994s? This would allow other items such as door handles, etc that were slightly different in the latter half of the model year.
