I have a 1991 XJS coupe. I recently bought a set of led bulbs for this car. after I fitted them and refitted the cluster back into the car I found that with the Ign on the fuel and the oil pressure gauge went right up to the top
I fired up the car tried the lights the rev counter dropped to zero then went back to normal when the lights were switched off.
I took the cluster out again refitted the original bulbs back in cleaned the printed circuit with a circuit cleaner.. refitted the cluster back into the car.. this time the fuel and oil pressure gauge still went up to the top. but the rev counter was now ok when I switched on the lights.
Can any one shed some light on this for me
