I'm looking at buying an XK120 or XK140. Is there anything I should know about these models before I purchase one? Are parts easy to find? Are they easy to work on? Are they the type of car to be eternally in the shop? Or do they hold fast well? Any advise pro pr con would be greatly appreciated!!!
I just want to be sure I'm making the right choice.

Leslie,
As the owner of an XK-140 OTS, I have been very pleased with the car I own. (A great highway car -especially with overdrive.) One of the first things to consider in the selection of a 120 vrs 140 is to attend a Jaguar Concours and sit in a couple of models of each car (I think you will find that the owners will be very accomadating to let you "try out their cars for size"). If you are a tall person (I am 6'+) you may find that you are very uncomfortable in the XK-120 OTS (the FHC & DHC have a little more room though). The XK-140 OTS seems to have a lot more room than the 120 OTS-(though only a couple of inches more leg room), and fits me fine. I have had no problem in finding replacement parts for the 140, but probably would be same for the 120. Whatever you decide upon, its important to have someone knowledgeable to inspect the car (before purchase) and buy the best car you can afford.
