There were only a few XK150's made with automatic transmission. Any idea how many of these were made? Even more specifically FHC's? Ever seen one or know of any... anywhere?

Re.: XK150's with automatic transmission
Hi T.M.,
The "Archives" are maintained by Jaguar Cars and available for research of the kind you're wanting. You can go there yourself and hunt all you want. Until recently, Karen Miller was a liason from JCNA to the Archive Department of Jaguar Cars and she was available on site to carry out searches for clubmembers. Sadly, Karen passed away early this year from a battle with cancer. The link still shows her name as the contact. I don't know if someone else has taken over or if the post remains unmanned.
Go back to the home page, click on "Library", then scroll down to "Jaguar Cars Archival Services". From there, click on "Obsolete Printings" and you'll find the contact for the people at the Archives.

Re.: XK150's with automatic transmission
Why is everyone suddenly posting everything here. This should be in the XK forum.
But since it is here it is a good question. I doubt if they are as rare as you think. All models were available with the DG (Detroit Gear) box or Borg Warner if you wish except the "S". Someone would have to tally the build sheets. Wonder if Mike Cook has the time. A guess would be in the low hundreds and the majority of those would be coupes and DHCs. You may find them rare today as they have probably given there all to repair of restore a manual (more valuable) car. Perhaps you would like to do the research. The archives at Mahwah are available for that type of study although it is at their pleasure and time.
