Hello All -
I have a 2002 XK8 Coupe (dark blue/tan, I love it!), that has had a rumble coming from the rear suspension for about a year (car has 80K miles). My mechanic and I have searched everywhere, bushings, pivots, disconnected the sway bar, etc., then he hooked up the "Electronic Ear" with headphones to finally determine that the rear shocks are going away internally. Has anybody seen this?
He also told me (and I trust him) that replacing the rear shocks is an absoulute b*itch - lotta time, special tools, $1000!!, etc - has anybody had this experience?
Any input or suggestions welcome -
