I am restoring a '62 Flat Floor XKE. I purchased a NEW Lo-Can Glass repo
windshield. I want to know if anyone here has purchased this same windshield and installed a NEW repo top chrome finisher to it. I replated my original windshield finisher but it came out fairly bowed at both ends and will not fit onto the new Lo-Can windshield without damaging the finisher or glass. How easy of a fit should this finisher be?

I bowed my top windshield finisher when I removed it as well; a costly, rookie mistake, and had to buy a reproduction. There needs to be space in the channel for adhesive, so if your piece is too tight, then I'd send it back and try to find a correct one. Ask the supplier to measure the inside channel before you commit to the purchase. I also got my new windshield from LoCan.
