Following the winter, I started the car, and ran around locally, relatively slowly at first, and all seemed fine.
The next day, I drove down to the local shops, and experienced a misfire, so went back home, with a distinct lack of power. Later, all seemed OK, power was back, so I tried again, then again suddenly the misfire returned, and I went back home.
I changed plugs and fuel filter, but no change, the engine still misfired. There is spark to all plugs, so it would seem to be a fuel related problem.
It seems as if some component has gone to working intermittently following the winter when the car did not run for about 5 months.
Does anyone have any ideas what I should look for?
Many thanks,

I now find that spark plugs 1, 2, and 3 are spotless, whereas 4, 5, and 6 are somewhat black. This rather looks as if injectors 1, 2, and 3 are not working. How do I check these? The Jag ROM does not give any detail.
