Hi all,

My name is Mike and I'm brand new to the boards. I was referred here by Richard Owen in Montreal. I've got a unique request that he thought someone here might be able to point me in the right direction on.

I'm getting married on September 17th, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan and while there are 10 million things to plan for, the car I use in my wedding is the one thing I get to pick on my own. As such, I'm trying to find someone in the local Metro-Detroit area that has a S1 or S2 E-Type Roadster (preferably an S1) that I could borrow to drive away from the ceremony in and use for photos.

The ceremony and reception are actually located in the same place, so very little driving would actually happen, it'd be more just to take photos with. We're getting married at the Whitney, a mansion in Midtown Detroit. It was completed in 1900 and was the biggest, most opulent house in the city at the time.

Does anyone on here know of anyone in the Detroit area that might be able to point me in the direction of a car that might be available?

Hi Mike,

Best wishes on your wedding. Why don't you get married in PIttsburgh! I have a few collector cars which I make available for just this purpose.

I have a '62 E Type OTS. Dark opalescent blue/red. beautiful car.

Not a very economical solution, but if you would pay for enclosed transport and a hotel room for me, plus a fee for the car.. I'd consider it.
