LOOKING FOR YOUNG ENTHUSIAST MEMBERS

my first love was a Norton Dominator......it was a great bike, 600 cc of linear acceleration on a Yorkshire country road........ Roadholder front forks and a Featherbed frame,104 MPH on a flat road but what smoothness and precise handling on those winding Yorkshire roads. Tighten up all the bolts after a good run , adjust the primary chain, if we has the right sized spanner we were lucky, if not w used to use a bigger spanner and perhaps jammed a penny in between the flats of the nut and the spanner... Thank God I have all the spanners I need, esp for an XJS which requires std and metric ... pain in the for sure.......but worth every frustrating second of it.......
I think even many of the Hardley Import lookalikes have the same too good to wave arrogance, I have ridden one of the real ones and it just shook the hell out of me around town, that was enough for me..... I shall stick to my rice rockets forever, I have an armchair at home if I need a rest, but I guess they are kinda like apples , and personally I just like the sweet ones.....

Let's give out the waves ... So what if it's returned or not .....

Brit cars (MG, Triumph, Lotus, Sunbeam etc all seem to wave every-time to a vintage Jag)

Not all Harley riders are wave-resistant but alot are. Ginger may need "The Vincent"; Norton; BSA or a Bonnyville for more Harley-Dude waves.

In my B in England we always waved to each other, quick flash of the headlights etc.............back home you were one of the boys if you had a B, I almost bought an E Type but decided to take the Canadian offer.......... glad I did, we have half a dozen Jags now.................not E Types however.. mainly V12's
Hardley riders are like that, and no I do know how to spell , I ride a ZX11 when the weather permits, and I have the cash to insure it.......................

Today, I waved at the passengers of a late model Jaguar sitting behind me at a stop light, and made eye contact, but they didn't wave back. I don't think they recognized that I was also in a Jaguar ('66 XKE roadster). That happens more than I'd like it to. I think a lot of the new Jaguar folkd don't know about or appreciate the old cats. I give and receive a lot of "thumbs up" when I see other classic cars on the road, too.

When riding my motorcycle, I put a hand out when I see other bikers, too. I've noticed that most wave back unless they are Harley riders that notice I'm not riding a Harley. ;->

I'll keep waiving anyway.
