Is it just me,or do other people feel the same way i do?I've always considered my xjs a british version of the chevy corvette(much more luxurious of course!)just by the way you sit in it(the floor drops much like a corvette),the layout of everything,etc.,I grew up around corvettes and harleys and know alot about them,and someday i'll own a corvette too,but theres something about an xjs v-12 that makes it superior yet similiar to a corvette

british corvette
Here's some similarities between the two off the top of my head (1975-1996)
never a 4 door (curses on the Rapide);
initiated by legendary designers;
Sting Rays and XJ-S have those perma-cool gothic arches;
long production runs;
raced successfully;
leathered up (no wood for the US car);
GM transmissions;
underappreciated and underestimated;
not harshly sprung;
competent engines;
cargo capacity (curse an Elise's trunk)
big bang for the buck today;
Q: what was the XJS missing? A: a manual shift and supercharger.

heh heh
I've spent most my life working at Chevy dealers and have plenty of time behind the wheel of nearly every rendition. Many of us call Corvettes "15 minute cars"....lots of fun for 15 minutes at time. In 30 days you'll get another 15 minute "fix" :-)
Actually, I like Corvettes but comparing one to an XJS is apples and oranges. Different design intent, different execution, different personality....
Cheers

Uhhhh... no.
Try driving a Corvette and then get back to us. They are completely different cars.
