I have a 1962 xke roadster, on the left side front when someone is sitting in the passenger side. I have a terrible rattle, the front end is new all my shocks are new. the rubber is good on the bonnet, but there is some play on the passenger side. I can push the bonnet down. Any ideas, I've looked every where any ideas

No guarantees that you're having the same problem, but in a similar circumstance, I discovered that a worn "fulcrum shaft", part # C15372, for the lower suspension wishbone assembly, was causing a serious rattle. It's common to both sides of E-types and can be seen on P.80 of the E-type 4.2 Parts Book..
Mine was worn and, since a replacement shaft couldn't be found, the old one had to be built-up and re-machined to the original size. Problem solved.
