I had posted about my Jag flooding, several months ago. So I thought I'd give a follow up on the car, in case someone else may have the same problem and read the posts or if you may be wondering how I got along.
It turned out to be the ECU. I had changed a lot of parts hoping that it would solve the problem but in the end it came down to the ECU. The parts that I changed were either bad (ie. dist. pick up) or old (ie. plugs wires etc). So it was not like I was just throwing parts at it.
After getting the parts and the new ECU in, it fired right up. Now it looks like I have a bad TPS. Still have a lot of things to go over before I decide to put it back on the road. Mostly mantanice type stuff. Just changed the trans fluid, filter, and mount. That was fun!!!
Thanks for the input that I got on this. I must say that I have learned a lot about the car in the last couple of months, and I'm sure I still have more to learn

Good work.
Sorting an XJS can be a challenge but if you stick with it....and it looks like you are...you'll be well rewarded.
