1995 XJS......all of a sudden the parking lights, rear tail lights and dash illumination lights stopped working. Checked all relevent fuses and all ok. Only difference between working and not working is the front driver seat leather was redone by the upholtery people. Any relationship between the seat being removed and reinstalled or just a coincidence? Anyway, these sets of lights not working, but all other lights are. Appreicate any help.

Been there. Fixed that.

Strange as it sounds, remove the two headlight relays and make sure the connections are thoroughly clean. I used a points file in the sockets, and emery cloth on the relay's blades. Pop the relays back in, and your tailights, etc. should be functional again.

The headlight relays are the two violet ones tight against the inner fender, left hand side.

Recommendation: While you're in there, do all the relays. You won't regret the effort...
